I work with adults navigating a range of challenges, including complex trauma, anxiety and depressive disorders, ADHD, neurodivergence, grief, gender identity and expression, and parenting challenges. I am especially passionate about providing LGBTQIA+ affirming care and supporting clients exploring the intersections of identity, culture, and lived experience.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, person-centered, and trauma-informed. I integrate mindfulness-based CBT, ACT, EMDR, somatic techniques, and systems theory to tailor treatment to each client’s needs. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all—I encourage clients to set meaningful goals, shaping their healing journey in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
I hold space with compassion and curiosity, helping clients recognize and shift unhelpful behavior patterns and trauma responses, and connect with their inner strength. I provide education around how trauma affects the brain and body and offer practical tools to foster resilience and growth.
Many clients come to therapy feeling pressure to “move on” or “get over it.” I help reframe that narrative—acknowledging pain and loss while cultivating resilience and building a foundation for growth. Together, we work toward healing and a future aligned with the client’s values and priorities.
I hold a BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley (1992), completed a year of graduate studies in Early Childhood Education at Mills College, and earned my MSW from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (1997). I work in a group practice at LifeStance Health.
