My passion is working with folx from marginalized communities, including but not limited to those who are queer-identifying or queer-questioning (LGBTQIA2S+), BIPOC, disabled, and neurodivergent.
I am an affirming, neurodiversity- and LGBTQIA+-informed provider who primarily works with queer, transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive individuals across a wide range of identities and experiences. My work is grounded in cultural humility and lived experience, and I specialize in supporting clients navigating identity exploration, minority stress, relationship concerns, and mental health challenges related to systemic oppression. I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent clients, particularly individuals with ADHD and Autism, and I take a strengths-based, collaborative approach that honors diverse ways of thinking, communicating, and relating.
I also work in a substance use and recovery-focused setting, supporting individuals with concerns related to substance use, harm reduction, and recovery. My clinical approach is informed by Motivational Interviewing (MI), emphasizing client autonomy, compassion, and readiness for change. I frequently work with clients at the intersection of queerness, neurodivergence, and substance use, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental therapeutic space where clients feel seen and empowered. I am committed to ongoing professional development in gender-affirming and inclusive care, including pursuing additional specialized training and working toward my Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) credential.
I am a White, queer, non-binary person. I am currently a master’s student in the clinical mental health counseling program at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS). I have a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Mathematics (2012), a Master of Public Health with a specialization in Biostatistics (2017), and am currently working towards their Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in substance use and recovery (expected May 2025).
