I primarily uses a Relational-Cultural theoretical (RCT) framework. I believe people fundamentally desire connection with others and that in order to understand one’s self and self-worth it is essential to understand the nature and quality of the relationships one chooses to engage in. The aim of our work together will be to explore your relational connections and how these relationships affect your vigor for life, desire for intimate and societal connections, sense of worth, understanding of relationships, and ability to take action within your relationships. I also borrow cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques to help examine thinking patterns and how those patterns affect relationships.
I am a White, queer, non-binary person. I am currently a master’s student in the clinical mental health counseling program at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS). I have a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Mathematics (2012), a Master of Public Health with a specialization in Biostatistics (2017), and am currently working towards their Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in substance use and recovery (expected May 2025).
