Hi, I’m Lindsay. I’m a licensed, trauma and relationship therapist. I am EMDR trained and have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, the gold standard for relationship therapy.
For individuals, I bring to each session 10+ years of trauma-informed expertise to help you heal from trauma, anxiety, and depression. Each person is unique which is why I work with you to tailor your therapy sessions to honor your unique experience and make space for what matters most to you. Some people find individual therapy to be a great resource and support while doing couples counseling. If that is you, I would love to support you individually, while you take courageous steps to try new things in your relationship.
For partners and couples, we start by understanding your unique relationship cycle that gets you stuck. We slow down those moments between you and your partner when the emotional music gets loud and things speed up and escalate quickly. My role in the work is to slow down the emotional music and walk alongside you as you relearn how to stay connected in healthy ways, even when moments get tough. In sessions, I will coach you as you practice new skills for effective listening and communication. These new skills are rooted in compassion and understanding, in order to create deeper, more meaningful connection. Most couples find the work we do together, stays with them and helps them long after they finish therapy.
