Erin is a queer Licensed Professional Counselor who has over 12 years of experience counseling teens and adults who have been abused. As a queer therapist, she works nearly exclusively with LGBTQIA people who have been harassed, assaulted, bullied, and/or invalidated by family, peers, coworkers, or strangers. Erin identifies as a trauma therapist, and has attended numerous trainings in trauma over the years. This includes completing EMDR basic training in 2021, advanced training for EMDR certification in 2022, and The Body Keeps the Score training. She also has completed Naropa University’s social-justice and trauma-informed Psychedelic Assisted Therapy certification program. She helps individuals recover from trauma using Art Therapy, EMDR, IFS, mindfulness, feminist therapy, and Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy. As a therapist, she will approach sessions with genuineness, depth, cozy attunement, creativity, curiosity, brain science, and realness. You’ll hear her validate your pain by cursing about the “ick” that brings you in just as much as she’ll celebrate you with your successes. She’ll challenge you to see different perspectives, and to develop a balance of grit and softness to empower the changes you want in life. She believes every human has capacity to heal from trauma given the right conditions, and the ability access their higher self with the right support. From our personal healing we can step out into collective healing, so our own unique talents can find a sense of belonging and purpose. Her mission is to build a strong, resilient, & unbreakable community of women and LGBTQIA people.
