Dr. Powell is a naturopathic doctor that guides individuals of all ages through transformational wellness change. Through a comprehensive medical history, symptom analysis, and advanced functional medicine diagnostics, she helps those seeking healing beyond the standard medical approach solve the puzzle of chronic disease and correct the deepest imbalances and dysfunctions that impede wellness. Her individualized treatment plans use herbal medicines, lifestyle strategies, and nutrition to restore foundational health and support the body’s innate capacity to heal. She works collaboratively with other medical specialists and incorporates both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical approaches to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Ideal candidates for this therapy are those will be motivated to employ changes in their everyday lives to move towards wellness. Many of her patients suffer from complex or chronic illnesses or undiagnosed symptoms and are looking for a more proactive approach to care. Dr. Powell provides the education and tools to help you invest resources in the efforts most likely to create a lasting effect. Her care also includes special consideration for the veteran community, including medical detoxification from burn pits and other chemical exposures (and treatment of related chronic lung disease) and treatment of sleep disorders, PTSD, and nutrient deficiencies. Dr. Powell has extensive training in mold and mycotoxin-related disease, is Mold-Literate Certified with Dr. Jill Crista and has served as an expert medical witness in civil cases involving mold exposure and biotoxin-related illness. She is also a Bredesen-certified provider specializing in dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and cognitive decline.
Hälsa Naturopathic employs two other naturopathic doctors in addition to myself, as well as a chiropractor and a nurse practitioner offering primary care; all our providers and support staff are allies and several are members of the LGBTQI+ community themselves.
