Jen Powell, MSN, APRN, FNP-C began her nursing career in 2014 and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at UCCS.
Currently practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Jen is passionate about providing comprehensive and affirming care to individuals of all backgrounds. She has a particular interest and proficiency in gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT), following current clinical guidelines to support the health and well-being of transgender and gender-diverse patients. Her clinical approach is grounded in empathy, education, and partnership, with a focus on preventive care and building strong therapeutic relationships.
Jen is deeply committed to serving the LGBTQ+ community and strives to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for every patient she sees.
Jen lives in Colorado Springs with her family and enjoys running, mountain biking, and spending time outdoors in her free time.
Clinic staff also able to manage pre-authorizations, where to send referrals, and are LGBTQ+ friendly.
As we are hoping we can pass on to the next generation of providers the way to kindly manage care for the LGBTQ+ community, patients more than likely will also be working with UCCS nurse practitioner students
