The Dread of Difference: Horror, Power, and Privilege.

October 22 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Who loves horror! Join local community member Deka Spears (they/them) here at Prism Community Collective on Thursday, October 22nd, from 6pm – 8pm to explore how horror films reflect real-world fears surrounding identity, power, and marginalization. Using films like The Purge, we’ll examine how horror can help us think about systemic inequality, state-sanctioned violence, and who society chooses to fear or to protect.

New to Prism? Here’s what to expect:

  • Our doors are always locked for security. We have an intercom at the door as first point of contact. Simply call “front office” from the touch screen.
  • Weapons are not allowed in space.
  • There is a preliminary security check at the door
  • We have an intake form we ask all new folks to fill out. Try to arrive a few minutes early to fill that out.

Please Note: Peak Vista has it’s own process for insurance and Prism does not have any association with Peak Vista billing or insurance collection.
