This Month’s Book: The Unbinding of Mary Reade by Miriam Mcnamara

The Unbinding of Mary Reade by Miriam McNamara is a young adult historical romance novel about a girl who disguises herself as a boy to survive and ends up joining the pirate crew of Anne Bonny and Calico Jack.

Worried about any Trigger Warnings for this month’s book? Check out the trigger warnings listed below and decide if you wish to read this month’s book:

  • Sexual Violence: Attempted rape and sexual assault.
  • Abuse: Domestic violence and toxic, abusive relationships.
  • Violence: Graphic violence, murder, and brutal deaths.
  • Bigotry: Intense sexism, homophobia, and transphobia.
  • Characters: Mentions of child abuse and an alcoholic parent

New to Prism? Here’s what to expect:

  • Our doors are always locked for security. We have an intercom at the door as first point of contact. Simply call “front office” from the touch screen.
  • Weapons are not allowed in space.
  • There is a preliminary security check at the door
  • We have an intake form we ask all new folks to fill out. Try to arrive a few minutes early to fill that out.
