Do you love to read or want to get into reading? Looking for new books to add to your TBR list? Want a laid-back community group to discuss the latest read? Join Lavender Book Club, Wednesday, October 28th from 6pm – 7pm to discuss this month’s book!
This Month’s Book:
Detransition Baby by Torrey Peters
“Detransition Baby follows three characters; Reese, her de-transitioned partner, Ames, and Katrina, Ames’ Boss and Lover. When Katrina gets pregnant, Ames proposes an unconventional arrangement: they will raise the child together as a three-parent family, navigating complex questions about modern womanhood, identity, and motherhood” (Google).
Worried about any Trigger Warnings for this month’s book? Check out the trigger warnings listed below and decide if you wish to read this month’s book:
- Transphobia and homophobia: Includes social stigma, slurs, and prejudice.
- Abortion and pregnancy: Features decisions regarding an unexpected pregnancy and whether to terminate it.
- Abuse and violence: Mentions domestic, physical, and sexual violence or abuse.
- Mental health: Deals with grief, self-harm, suicidal ideation (off-screen or discussed), and depression.
- Interpersonal conflict: Covers infidelity, outing someone at a workplace, and relationship breakdown

- Our doors are always locked for security. We have an intercom at the door as first point of contact. Simply call “front office” from the touch screen.
- Weapons are not allowed in space.
- There is a preliminary security check at the door
- We have an intake form we ask all new folks to fill out. Try to arrive a few minutes early to fill that out.
