In her role as Senior Manager for Health Equity with CHP, Rachel (she/her) works with community members and organizational partners in El Paso County to improve access to safe, affirming healthcare for the LGBTQ+ community. In addition to her work with CHP, Rachel is a Field Consultant for the Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality / Forum for Youth Investment, where she works with individuals and organizations to increase the quality their youth development programs.
Rachel has been an advocate for youth development and LGBTQ+ young people for over 12 years, working with communities in Michigan, Minnesota and state networks across the U.S. Prior to joining CHP, Rachel served as a Director of Quality Improvement for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National Office, where she led the development of transgender and gender-expansive affirming policy initiatives. She also served as the Operations Manager for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities, in Minneapolis, MN and founded a food justice program in Michigan that is still serving its community after over a decade.
