Community and Connection

Opening this spring, Prism Community Collective will be a physical space where Club Q survivors, the Colorado Springs LGBTQIA2+ community, and their loved ones can connect to each other and to resources designed specifically for them.

Making space

It’s time for Colorado Springs to make space and create opportunities for:

We are a collective

Prism Community Collective was developed with the idea that we are stronger when we come together. As a collective, we can amplify our voices, advocate for change, create safe spaces, and provide essential services and resources for the Colorado Springs LGBTQIA+ community and especially those impacted by the attack on Club Q. This is the first step toward a more inclusive and empowered community.

Come as you are.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing and moving through trauma. This is your journey and only you can decide how to best navigate it. We're here if and when you need us.

Take what you need.

For some people, healing involves gathering with others and sharing their journey. For others, it involves meditation and massage. Prism Community Collective will offer a variety of options so that you can choose what works best for you.

Go at your own pace.

Grief and trauma don't adhere to a timetable and you shouldn't have to either. Your experience is unique and deeply personal. Our goal is to provide a space where you can find what you need when you're ready to take the next step forward.

This belongs to you.

Prism Community Collective isn't "owned" by any one organization. It's a collective effort to give survivors and the wider LGBTQIA2+ community a new way to connect and find resources. If something isn't working, you have a voice. We welcome your thoughts and ideas as we move forward.

Get Involved

We believe that people and communities are the experts on what they need in times of crisis. Government agencies and large funding institutions can be supportive to long-term efforts, but may struggle to meet the immediate needs of those impacted in a timely, responsive manner.

Meeting immediate needs works best when resources are put directly into the hands of those who need it most. If you’d like to support survivors and the families of victims directly, please donate via the link below to our friends at Bread & Roses Legal Center’s Queers4Q mutual aid fund. Your funds will go directly into the hands of victims and survivors of Club Q.
